The Boda boda fraternity of Mpara town council in Kyegegwa district, are set to go into fresh election of new leadership as one of the resolutions reached to end the outstanding conflict between Kazigaba Yolokamu who is the stage chairperson of Mpara and Silagi Alinde the chairperson Boda boda Mpara town council.

During a harmonisation meeting held at the headquarters of Mpara town council on Wednesday the 17th-09, with all the executive members from the 09 boda boda stages in Mpara town council, chaired by Tiinka Apolo Bob the district chairperson boda boda in Kyegegwa, some members of boda boda fraternity questioned how Silagi assumed office of the chairperson in Mpara town council.

Other members also accused Silagi over working in isolation in addition of using excessive power during his enforcement.

This is not going to be the first time for the boda boda community of Mpara town council to go into a fresh election.

On 16th-08-2022, a vote of no confidence was imposed on the chairperson boda boda Mpara by then Kityo Sam on grounds of failure to hold meetings, neglecting office responsibility among others, an exercise that was presided over by Francis Isingoma who is in charge of discipline at the district executive committee of boda boda association.

A vote of no confidence against Kityo Sam opened the opportunities for Silagi purportedly in collaboration with the district leadership of boda boda riders, to assume office as the new chairperson where he has so far served for 03 years.

The meeting further resulted into exchange of bitter words prompting Mwebesa Benson the treasurer threatening to resign, as Francis Isingoma seconded the resolution of conducting fresh election to restore sanity among the boda boda community of Mpara town council
