The commissioning of this commercial house that marked a significant milestone, came a day before Bisozi Catholic Parish celebrated Silver Jubilee since its establishment 25 years ago
The Bishop of Fort Portal Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki on Saturday September 20, commissioned Katalyeba Jubilee House under Bisozi Catholic Parish in Kamwenge District.
The commissioning of this commercial house that marked a significant milestone, came a day before Bisozi Catholic Parish celebrated Silver Jubilee since its establishment 25 years ago. The Silver Jubilee took place Yesterday Sunday September 21, at the Parish headquarters in Nkoma Sub County Kamwenge district.
Speaking at the event, Bishop Muhiirwa applauded the parish Priest, Rev Fr Aloysius Maniragaba in collaboration with members of the Clergy, for a visionary guidance and commitment.
He also commended the general public for their unwavering support toward the successful completion of the project, noting that contributions came from individuals across different religious affiliations.
“I thank the Parish leaders lead by Rev Fr Maniragaba Aloysius for coming up with a tremendous idea of constructing a Jubilee house, this is a great milestone, and the Parish will be able to generate revenue to sustain Church activities” said Bishop Muhiirwa.
Fr. Aloysius Maniragaba expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the construction of the Jubilee House, which is expected to generate income to support parish activities.
“This has not been only our effort, so I want to appreciate Kamwenge district leaders: Hon Frank Tumwebaze the MP Kibale East, district Chairperson Joseph Karungi, and Hon Sylvia Bahireira the Woman MP Kamwenge district, who have offered a suppertive hand,” said Fr Maniragaba.
The project, which costed about Ugx1billion, also received significant backing from the Kibale East Member of Parliament and Minister for Agriculture, whom Fr. Maniragaba praised for his tireless efforts and continued support.
Bishop Muhiirwa was in his three-day pastoral visit to Bisozi Catholic Parish, which ended yesterday Sunday.
