The area Member of Parliament for Kyaka South Constituency in Kyegegwa District, Minister Jackson Kafuuzi Karugaba, has concluded his three-day mobilisation tour with a call to all NRM supporters to vote for NRM flag bearers at all levels.
On Thursday, 25 September, while in Migamba and Rwentuha sub-counties, Minister Kafuuzi launched a campaign to strengthen NRM structures from the grassroots up to the sub-county level. He urged members to begin mobilising support for the NRM Presidential Candidate, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and all NRM flag bearers in Kyaka South ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Minister Kafuuzi, accompanied by district authorities including the Kyegegwa RDC, Col Alex Bright Nzirimu, and the DPC, SP Christine Atayi, among other respected officials, delivered the same message on Friday, 26 September, to NRM leaders in Ruyonza and Kazinga Town Council.
On the final day of his mobilisation tour, Saturday, 27 September, while meeting NRM leaders in Mpara Town Council and Mpara Sub-county, Kafuuzi emphasised the achievements already realised. He underscored the need for the re-election of H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to ensure further development, including better roads, improved health services, and the extension of piped water, which remains lacking in many parts of Kyaka South.
The District Woman Member of Parliament and NRM flag bearer for Kyegegwa, Hon Jack Muganda, also added her voice, urging the congregation to persuade supporters from other political parties to join them in boosting the NRM’s target of attaining over 96% in the entire district, compared to the 86% polled in the 2021 elections.
John Kisoke Byamukama, the Kyegegwa District Chairperson who lost in the NRM primaries to Hon Norman Birungi and chose not to stand as an independent, urged leaders in Mpara Sub county to put aside conflicts arising from the recent NRM elections and focus on service delivery. He also made slogans that prompted the crowd to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, some of the NRM leaders who attended the meeting, including the Kyegegwa District NRM Chairperson, Lieutenant Wilson Byaboona, and the Women’s Council Chairperson, Annah Kahwa, among others, expressed their commitment to supporting all NRM flag bearers at every level.
