Works for the construction of Kyamutyetye-Bahuura-Kakindo-Rutooma-Kisorora connecting up to Kyarujumba road in Mpara town council Kyegegwa district, have commenced attracting a sigh of relief among residents.

During a site meeting held on Saturday 15th, November at two points of Buhuura and Kisorora respectively, Baruku Richard the district roads engineer Kyegegwa, says that the 10Km road has two sections and is being constructed under the rehabilitation grant from Uganda government at a tune of Ugx 130million.
Baruku also cited a number of activities that are to be done including bush clearing partly done already, grading and installation of culverts, spot gravelling of only 3Kms, filling and rising of certain swamps among others.

He also rejected a proposal that was formally addressing to his office by the head teacher Kakindo primary school Muhairwe Habert Alfred, seeking for the diversion of the road citing that if the request is adhered too, would cause many accidents, including demolishing of the existing school latrines constructed under the Development Response to Displacement Impact Project (DRDIP).

John Kisoke Byamukama the district chairperson Kyegegwa, asked the engineers to ensure standard work.

The meeting was also graced by Kyegegwa district Woman Member of Parliament NRM flag bearer, Hon Jackie Kyogabirwe Muganda who applauded residents for acknowledging the development in their area.
She also highlighted on some of her manifesto that she intends to implement such as supporting financially Savings and Credit Co-operatives, supporting Boda boda groups and establishing of a technical institute in the area among others.
