There was a standing ovation on Wednesday 08th, January 2026 at Nyakatoma Primary school in Mpara sub county Kyegegwa district, as thousands of NRM support welcomed the area MP for Kyaka South Kyegegwa district, Minister Jackson Kafuuzi during his mobilizing trail ahead of the 15th January both Presidential and Parliamentary polls.

In a campaign dubbed Kyaka South sub county Presidential campaigns, attracted thousands of Minister Kafuuzi supporters across all the parts in Mpara sub county with local artists entertaining the crowd.

Accompanied by his spouse Monica Kafuuzi, Minister Kafuuzi expressed government’s commitment in ensuring the construction of St Mary’s Nyakatoma Seed Secondary School adding that government has already earmarked over Ugx 03billion with contract already signed.

The construction of St Mary’ Seed School, is seen as a cornerstone in improving the education sector in the area after the construction of Rwentuha and Ruyonza that is pending commissioning.

Earlier than that, Minister Kafuuzi held a campaign rally in the village of Rwabanywa, Ruyonza sub county where residents expressed their dissatisfaction over the impassable road of Katarubata-Rwabanywa-Kajumbura-Ruterwa that is estimated to be 20km.

However, in his response Minister Kafuuzi, pledged to cooperate with both sub county and district leaders so that the it can be taken over by the district.
