The Catholic Church Doesn’t Condone Gay Marriage-Bishop Wanock

The Bishop of Lira Diocese Rt Rev Sanctus Lino Wanock has called on Christians to utilize the forty days of the Lent Period to move closer to Christ.

In his exclusive Lent Message delivered during a Press briefing on Tuesday at his residence at Lira Cathedral, the Bishop said the 40 days should be a center of faith for all the Christians.

The Bishop said Jesus Christ sacrificed his life by enduring and accepting to die on the cross for the sins of the whole world to be washed away.

Bishop Wanock further urged believers to use this period to help the needy people in the Community but shouldn’t let people know what they have given to people.

‘If people were following the foot step of Jesus Christ, there would not be cases of Corruption in Uganda, another Country fighting their neighbors and unnecessary killings among others crimes’ he said.

The Bishop appealed to Christians to examines their day to day life and let go things that may pull them away from following Jesus Christ because Jesus wants a sinner to repent.

Besides his lent Message, the Bishop warned that Catholic church will not tolerate and condone any act of Homosexuality tendencies in the Country.

According to Bishop Wanock, the Bible states very clear that a man should Mary a woman not but not same sex marriage.

He said the agents of Homosexual are currently using money to lure disadvantaged people to join them to popularizes their business.

The Bishop also said Ugandans recently misunderstood the Holly Father when he said Homosexual shouldn’t be condemned but rather they should be helped to get out of their pervasive ways.
