Mr Geoffrey Odaga, Director of Crane Junior Nursery and Primary School in Anai, Lira City West, has urged parents and guardians across Lira City to use the ongoing Christmas holidays as a golden opportunity to grow closer to their children and actively support their academic progress.

Speaking to Radio Qfm, Mr Odaga emphasised that the holiday should not only be a time for rest but also for meaningful family bonding and guided learning.

“This holiday is longer than usual because of the festive season. I am appealing to every parent: be intentionally close to your sons and daughters. Eat together, pray together, play together, and, most importantly, sit with them and go through their holiday packages,” Mr Odaga said.

He reminded parents that the school issued holiday work and revision packages to all pupils from Baby Class to Primary Six, to keep them academically engaged and prepare them for the new term in February 2026.

“Some children will ignore the work if no one follows them up at home. Spending ten to fifteen minutes a day with your child on their holiday package will make a very big difference when schools reopen. Let us not leave everything to the teachers,” he added.

Mr Odaga also used the platform to proudly highlight Crane Junior as the leading nursery and primary school in Lira City West, citing the school’s consistent excellent performance in both academics and co-curricular activities.

“This year alone, our pupils achieved outstanding results; our nursery children swept top positions in the regional music and dance competitions.

These successes are due to disciplined learners, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents. Crane Junior remains the best choice for any parent seeking holistic education for their child,” he stated.

Taking advantage of the large turnout of parents and well-wishers, the director encouraged families yet to enrol their children to act immediately.

“Admissions for 2026 are ongoing. We still have a few slots remaining in Baby Class, Middle Class, Top Class, and Primary One to Primary Six. Visit the school office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., collect admission forms, and secure your child’s future in one of the fastest-growing and most disciplined schools in Lango,” Mr Odaga announced.

A parent, Mrs Agnes Acan, told reporters: “I have two children here and I can testify that Crane Junior is truly different. The way teachers and the director care for these children feels like family. I am even bringing my nephew next year.”
