Inter-house sports competitions bring school spirit among students

Vibrant annual school inter-house sports competitions have brought syrupy in education sector, through promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and school spirit, featuring competitions between student teams

This was evident at Royal High School in Rwentuuha subcounty Kyegegwa district, as students engaged in friendly games, which included football, netball and volleyball, fostering community engagement and sportsmanship.

During final games of 2026-2027 inter-house tournament, held at the school premises on Friday, April 10, Nyerere house merged the best, outperforming other two competitive teams _dubbed Nkulumah house and Mandela house.

Hannington Orimwesiga, the game’s teacher at Royal High School in Rwentuuha, presided declaration of the winning team. He congratulated the participants, and thanked players and supporters for observing discipline through the tournament.

Team captain for Nyerere house, Nantam Mariadavina, S.3, has expressed pleasure on behalf of her team, for winning the competition and urged players to keep practicing so as to maintain their position in future, as well as to keep fit.

Other team captains include Arichwamu Rwamigamba, of Mandela house, and Mabigaba Edidah, of Nkulumah house, thanked the school management for loving sports.

These, having not won the tournament, have promised for better performance in next season of sports.
