The said passed bylaw on homosexuality in Kasese is void-Hon. Victoria Rusoke

The law under which Kasese Municipal council intended to pass the said bylaw on homosexuality is null and void, Hon. Victoria Rusoke Businge, the State Minister for Local government has announced.

During a joint meeting of the Kasese district and Kasese Municipal leaderships to guide the later over the controversial motion it intended to pass, the meeting chair, Hon. Victoria announced banned the operations of Human Rights Awareness Forum program, the said funder of the motion.

She also said the motion was null and void and should appear anywhere on any order paper of any local government because it contravenes the 1995 constitution of Uganda. Hon. Victoria speaking1…….

Hon. Victoria later warned local councils and particularly Kasese Municipal council against funding from sugarcoated NGOs whose intentions are not only selfish but intended to frustrate the cultural beliefs and morals, as well as hijacking the constitution of the land.

In his contribution during the same meeting held at the Kasese Multipurpose hall this afternoon, Hon. Muzamiru Bisanga, the Kasese district councilor representing Lake Katwe subcounty called for a public written apology by the Kasese Municipal council or else, he will lead a secure motion against the councilors.
