Mismanagement of local government funds is leading to disservices in some parts of Kasese

Mr. Saulo Maate, the former Kasese District Forum for Demoncratic Change-FDC has raised concern about the poor road network in Busongora County North.

He said the roads that connects Mubuku-NUYO, Hima to Kihyo via Buhuhira sub-county are in sorry state where farmers are counting losses due to exorbitant transport costs.

Addressing the media at FDC offices in Kasese town this afternoon, Mr. Saulo said that most of the community roads are in appalling condition which affects the transportation of agricultural produce to markets.

The seemingly disappointed Saulo says the state of the road has been worsened by floods that cut through the roads creating deep gullies.

He urged Kasese district leadership to fulfill their campaign manifesto or risk losing their offices come 2026.

He observes that the poor road network is also limiting traders from accessing the sub-counties and in turn affecting the price of their produce. END.
