ADF doctor killed in the jungles

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces in its joint operation with the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday put out of action an Allied Democratic Forces commander and outfit’s medic identified only as Dr. Musa.

Major Bilal Katamba, the UPDF’s Mountain Division and Operation Shujaa’s Public information Officer says, Dr Musa, a Rwandan national who was operating closely with another notorious ADF commander, Muhammad Luminsa, was killed in action by a joint mobile squad forces under the 83 battalion of the UPDF at Mugulumugulu near Tokomeka, about 30 kilometers, northwest of Kainama.

According to Maj. Bilal after overrunning the enemy’s territory, government military forces recovered one submachine gun and one walkie-talkie, and were pursuing about four group members who escaped the hook. Maj. Bilal speaking……..

He said whereas the ADF has intensified the implanting of improvised explosive devices, the joint forces’ technical explosive ordinance disposal team was on the battle ground to deal with the challenge where need be.
