Bakonzo cultural totems (Emitsiro ya Bakonzo) have been put up in Kasese Municipality to emulate more love to the Banya-rwenzuru in the Rwenzururu Kingdom.

Statues of clan totems have been placed along the various newly constructed USMID roads in Kasese Municipality in a bid to promote culture and tourism in Kasese district.

Speaking to the Mayor of Kasese Municipality, His worship Chance Kahindo revealed plans for placing the sculpture of the first king at the Kasese roundabout. He said the reason for putting up totem sculptures is to promote Bakonzo culture in this new generation with a call on all residents to love and own their town by keeping it clean.
