The use of technology in rural areas of Uganda is growing rapidly, particularly in Kasese district.

The government, through the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance, under the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), has donated tablets to residents living along the Ugandan border in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Town Council (MLTC) to enhance communication in the area.

A total of 200 tablets were distributed to residents yesterday during a handover ceremony held at Bwera Primary Teachers’ College. The tablets were secured through the efforts of the Minister of State for National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga.
