The return of the Rwenzururu King excites Kasese

All is set for the return to the Kingdom of the Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Mumbere who has been away for specialized medication in Turkey.

His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere left the Kingdom for Turkey on October 13, 2025, for medical treatment, marking his first international trip since attaining freedom following the 2016 attacks on his Obuhikira Palace located in Kasese Municipality.

Speaking to the press at the Verina garden in Kasese Municipality today, Rt. Hon. Baritazale who had earlier announced that the King returned to the country from Turkey late in December last year and kept at the Kampala based Palace, commended security for work well done.

He asked the Kingdom subjects to turn up in big numbers for the Royal welcome as part of a colorful function that will turn the Kingdom into a platform for excitement later at Rwenzori Square in Kasese Municipality. Hon Baritazale speaking……..

Earlier this afternoon, Rt. Hon. Juliet Best Kambale Bakoko, the Second Kingdom Deputy Premier who doubles as the Mister Gender Rehabilitation and Disability Affairs confirmed that the Royal Convoy is expected to reach Rugendabara-Kikongo soils in Kasese district by 11am tomorrow.
