Omusinga condemned the November attacks

The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, has condemned the coordinated armed attacks that rocked parts of the Rwenzori sub-region on November 1, 2025, and assured the public that peace and stability have been restored across the region.

Addressing hundreds of his subjects at Rwenzori Square in Kasese Town yesterday, following his return to the Kingdom after undergoing specialized medical treatment in Turkey, Mumbere said the attacks targeting both police and army installations and allegedly planned by individuals seeking to destabilize peace were a threat to the Kingdom and should not be tolerated.

The Omusinga reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring that such threats do not reoccur and emphasized the need to promote peace and unity for economic development. His Majesty speaking….

Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, the Kingdom’s Prime Minister, thanked Kasese District Local Government for allocating land to erect a portrait of the Rwenzururu,s  first King, Isaya Mukirania, and called for proper documentation now that it has been incorporated into the strategic plan.

Hon. Kambale Ferigo, the Member of Parliament for Kasese Municipality, commended the government for its infrastructural development. He revealed that a technical team will be in Kasese next week to assess possible installation sites for a CT scan machine, as well as the upgrading of Rwenzori TV on StarTimes to expand its signal, among other developments.
