Schools in Pader town council began the Kids Athletics Competition today at Paipir Primary School.
The competition, scheduled to last two days, started with 12 schools participating instead of the planned 14, featuring pupils under 12 and 14 years old from schools in Pader town council.
Jane Oyella, who represented the Chairperson of the Pader Town Council Games and Sports Association, stated that this year, there is a trophy to compete for, unlike in previous years.
Oyella encouraged the participants to work hard and also mentioned that the competition would identify the best athletes to represent the town in the upcoming district-level competition in Pajule, scheduled for 24th April 2025.
Simon Peter Okello, the games teacher at Olwornguu Primary School, told our reporter that they began preparing for this competition at the start of Term One, and he is optimistic that the results will be positive for them.

Zion, Ridge Christian Primary School, Pader Kilak Primary School, Lupwa Primary School, Apiri Primary School, Christ Church Nursery and Primary School, and Holy Angel Nursery and Primary School.
