Parents in the Pader district have been urged to advise their children to also join vocational schools and skill learning centers.
This was communicated by a Pader district woman Member of Parliament Hon. Aciro Paska Menya.
Paska made her communication on Tuesday afternoon during hand over of mattresses to 55 first graders from Pader town council, Pukor sub-county, and Ogom Sub-county that was held at Pader town council mayor’s garden.
However, she also said many parents are ignoring sending their children to vocational schools because their children want to study white-collar jobs which are very hard to get nowadays.
Mathew Oryema whose daughter sat from Mt. Zion and scored 10 aggregate appreciated the support from the Mp and said it will motivate learners to study hard…
Meanwhile, pastor Emma Katureba of lord is peace who was also present at the faction appealed to leaders and the general public to pray for other sub-counties who failed to get a first grade like Ogom sub-county so that this year they can also get it.
