District driver dies at the scene, one survives Pader accident

The community of Pader District is mourning the sudden death of a district local government driver who was involved in a fatal road accident along Pajule Road on the evening of Thursday, 7 August 2025.

The tragic incident occurred at Labongo Olung in Ogom Sub-county at 5:00 pm. The deceased, identified as Omony Ceaser, was driving a district water bowser, registration number UG 2431W, when the accident happened.

Omony died instantly, while another occupant survived and was rushed to Paiula HC II for medical attention. The survivor’s identity was not yet known at the time of reporting, and it remains unclear how many people were in the vehicle.

Police, accompanied by district officials, visited the scene. Authorities have urged residents to remain calm as investigations continue to establish the exact cause of the crash.
