Jireh Foundation Nursery and Primary School Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The 10th anniversary celebration of Jireh Foundation Nursery and Primary School turned emotional last weekend after the school’s director, Mr. Ayoo Bosco, also known as Bosco Ayago, broke down in tears while giving testimony about the institution’s humble beginnings.

Speaking to political and religious leaders, stakeholders, parents and well-wishers, Mr. Ayoo recalled how Jireh Foundation started ten years ago on a small, empty piece of land.

He said that when he looks at Jireh Foundation today, he does not only see the buildings and other structures, but also the lives that God has transformed through the school.

Mr. Ayoo said the school’s vision for the next ten years is to achieve even greater academic excellence and improve the learning environment for its pupils.

He identified some of the school’s priorities as constructing a perimeter fence, improving access to clean and reliable water, building better dormitories and storage facilities, and establishing a fully equipped computer laboratory.

Meanwhile, the main celebrant, retired judicial officer-turned-pastor Robson Atoke of Lira, urged the congregation to learn to give thanks to God in all circumstances.

Pastor Atoke said giving thanks to God is an acknowledgement of humanity’s dependence on the Supreme Giver.

In a message delivered by Pader District LCV Chairperson Mr. Alfred Akena, the Northern Uganda State Minister and Agago District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Beatrice Akori, contributed 200 iron sheets towards the construction of a girls’ dormitory.

She also donated three million shillings and appealed to parents to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of their children during the second-term holidays.

The anniversary celebration brought together school administrators, parents, political and religious leaders, stakeholders and members of the community to celebrate a decade of growth and reflect on the future of Jireh Foundation Nursery and Primary School.
