Lack of functioning district service commission causing financial lost in Agago

Failure by Agago district to install the District Service Commission out of political pressure has caused the district to lose money meant to recruit the civil servant.

Speaking after swearing in on the 22nd may 2026 as Agago district duly elected chairperson, Hon Otoo Wilsion said money meant to recruit civil servants at Patongo HCIV was not put into use.

According to Otoo,Agago has suffered for so long because there was no integrity in the service commission whereby every applicant is alleged to have powerful connections or bribes for them to get a job.       

He restored  hope for the people of Agago who study but find it difficult to get jobs in their own district because of corruption, that will stop in his regime because the job in Agago is not for sales.             

Agago district speaker Ivan Oyet Odong piny who secured his position without a competitor asked the councilors during their first sitting to join hands together to make Agago better than they found it.
