In a move geared towards promoting sports talent in Lango, the Chief executive officer of KK-Cham sports center located in Lira City Mr. Kaunda Kenneth Okwir, has expressed commitment to identify young talented individuals and expose them to sports supporting schools.
Addressing the media yesterday, Kaunda, who is the Chairperson organizing committee of Omer group festive tournament dubbed “Abedi festive cup “revealed that they have organized a tournament aimed at promoting home talents, unity and supporting teachers of Omer primary school in Kwania district through gate collections.
KK-Cham sports, the proud sponsor of Dwog Pacu Cup, revealed that 16 teams have so far participated in the tournament including 12 teams from Apac district and 4 from Kwania district respectively.

He stated that the purpose of the game is to support both talented individuals and the teachers reiterating that the quarter final collections will be part of their social cooperate responsibility to facilitate teachers wellbeing.
According to KK, the champion will be awarded a trophy, 30 goal medals and Shs 1 million, second position will be rewarded 30 silver medals and Shs 500, 000, meanwhile third position will be awarded Shs 300,000, and fourth position will receive Shs 100,000 respectively.
During the first leg of quarter final played yesterday at Omer primary school play ground, Omer FC defeated Anyige FC 1-0, Big talent FC beats Black Chacks 1-0, meanwhile Te-Opok FC was challenged by Acandyang FC 1-0.
