Apac deputy Resident district commissioner, Joan Apio has issued a stern warning to contractors over shoddy work

The notice follows an award of contract of over 30 million to a company whose name has been withheld to fence Awiri Primary school, in Maruzi Constituency but failed to present the materials as indicated in the bill of quantities (BOQ).

Apio stated that when they observed that the building materials did not meet the standards, the contractor was ordered to demolish the structure saying the district is currently seeking for another contractor to take over the projects. This, she warned contractors against shoddy works when granted opportunity to carry out activities.

Apio pledged to monitor all government programs and ensure effective service delivery.
