Okware proudly highlighted while commending how passionate and dedicated the young man was toward shaping his own future and academic journey.
Okware however emphasized that education must actively focus on identifying and promoting student talents rather than relying solely on class-based memory exams.
Meanwhile Olobo Timothy Debuni stressed that participating in the competition provided significant exposure beyond networking with fellow creatives, young poets often highlighting several major career opportunities gained from these national stages.
Olobo revealed the competiton offered him an opportunity to meet Allan Kasujja, a veteran Ugandan journalist, broadcaster, and the current Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre who pledged him free internship after Uganda Adveance Certificate of Education (UACE).
Okware’s main objective has been modifying the learning approach to allow students who excel in practical domains such as tech innovation, sports, and debating to find global and national exposure alongside their academics.
Mentor SS has heavily expanded into several external competitive and exhibition platforms, achieving prominent regional and national recognition on sports, continental debating & public speaking, technological innovation and international opportunities.
