Incoming Alebtong leaders told to champion fight against corruption,

The incoming leaders of Alebtong have been challenged to champion the fight against corruption in the district.

The call has been made by Jimmy Okello, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner for Alebtong during a discussion with Radio Wa news desk.

Mr. Okello explained that corruption is one of the major factors affecting service delivery and development in the district.He however praised the outgoing leaders for their efforts which have seen Alebtong among the top performing districts in the 2025 assessment reports. This he said the leaders prioritized the fight against corruption during their tenure of office.

Okello challenged the incoming leaders to focus on effective service delivery and development for the residents through zero tolerance to corruption.

Meanwhile, Ambrose Ongom Ongom, the newly elected LC5 chairperson for Alebtong district also commended the outgoing leaders under the leadership of Francis Olaboro, the former Chief Administrative Officer -CAO, who greatly transformed the district.

Ongom Ongom pledges to prioritize effective service delivery in key sectors like Health, education, agriculture and infrastructure among others.

He also said he will ensure government program reach out to the targeted individuals. He called for teamwork and unity among leaders.
