Oyoma General Stores Limited, the producers of Kabisa Kombucha, has donated UGX 15 million towards the organisation of the second edition of the Dwog Pacu Cup Tournament, a community initiative aimed at empowering young people, promoting education, and advancing environmental conservation.
The donation was announced by Mr Bonny Nam Ogwang, the Lira Branch Manager of Oyoma General Stores Limited, during an exclusive interview with our reporter.
Mr Nam Ogwang explained that the contribution forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and serves as a gesture of appreciation to the people of the Lango Sub-region for their continued support of Kabisa Kombucha products.
He noted that supporting the tournament presents significant social and economic benefits, including enhancing brand visibility, stimulating local business activity, strengthening community cohesion, and nurturing sporting talent among young people.
The second edition of the Dwog Pacu Cup is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, 5 July at 3:00 p.m., running until the grand final on 2 August.
The tournament will bring together 21 constituency football teams from across the Lango Sub-region, providing a platform for competition, networking, and community engagement.
Group-stage matches and opening fixtures will be hosted at the UTC Lira Playground and the Lira Town College Playground.
The tournament is organised under the Dwog Pacu Foundation and is supported by several partners, including Adams Wholesalers as the official sponsor and KK-Cham Sports.
