Alebtong CAO Franco Olaboro among 38 accounting officers on transfer

The outgoing Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Alebtong District has called on leaders in Lango sub- region to embrace team work to achieve more development.

Mr. Franco Olaboro made the appeal during an exclusive telephone interview with Radio Wa news desk to confirm report of his transfer from Alebtong to Kalaki district in Teso sub-region, saying he is among 38 accounting officers who have been transferred across the country recently.

Mr. Olaboro emphasized that working together as a team is key in bringing in more development and improves service delivery to the people within their particular districts.

Olaboro affirmed that Alebtong district performed very well in the recent 2025 assessment report due to team work and collaboration among the political leaders and technical staff.

CAO Olaboro who joined Alebtong district in 2022, highlighted some of the achievements during his tenure in office saying that when he had just joined, Alebtong was 157th in ranking nationally.

However, he explained that through team work, the district recorded significant improvement from 157th in 2022 to 28th in 2025 report, making him one of the civil servants who is committed to improving service delivery.

Boniface Apunyu, the outgoing vice chairperson LC5 and leader of government business for Alebtong district commended the outgoing CAO for being a committed servant, saying Mr. Olaboro was a dedicated leader who significantly transformed Alebtong.

Some of the media personalities who spoke to Radio Wa, appreciated the Mr. Olaboro for being a simple and approachable leader who work closely with media team as the forth arm of government.

They highlighted that some of them will miss Olaboro, expressing that some other civil servants do not cooperate with media, which affects them in terms of reporting.
