On Saturday, 22nd August 2026, Radio Wa 89.8 FM hosted students from Lango College on its Youth Magazine Show. The show airs every Saturday from 2 PM to 3 PM and brings together youth from various backgrounds, including students, local artists, and drama groups.

This week’s discussion focused on the environment. The students highlighted human activities that are degrading and polluting the environment and contributing to harsh weather conditions.

Among the activities they mentioned were the poor disposal of plastic waste and polythene bags.

The students also proposed practical measures to protect and restore the environment, including planting trees to help regulate the climate and ensuring proper disposal of plastic waste.

It should also be noted that the Lango College students have been trained on how to raise a nursery bed. This has yielded fruits as numerous tree species are being supplied to the community which has to a larger extent supplemented the Environment conservation.
