Wisdom High dedicates 637 candidates, calls for academic focus

Kole–As the national examinations draw closer, students have been encouraged to build a strong foundation for their future through academic excellence, discipline and faith.

The call was made by Bishop Joseph Eleto of Life Renewal Ministry International, while preaching during a dedication prayer held today at Wisdom High School Akalo in Kole District.

Bishop Eleto said building a strong foundation for life requires commitment and hard work from students and their parents, rather than sitting back and expecting success without effort.

He noted that a foundation built through education can open the way to a brighter future, adding that the fear of God is also important in shaping responsible and disciplined young people.

The Bishop urged students to remain focused on their studies, saying a strong foundation built through education and faith can provide lasting benefits in life.

Obonyo Alex, the Director of Studies for Senior Six, called on parents to support the education of both boys and girls, noting that the school currently has more girls than boys.

Obonyo assured parents and other guests that the students are adequately prepared for the forthcoming national examinations.

He said the candidates have completed numerous sets of examinations as part of their preparations and are therefore ready to sit for the final national assessments.

Obonyo also appealed to candidates and the entire student body to maintain discipline as they approach the examination period.

Meanwhile, The Executive Director of Wisdom High School, Mr. Ambrose Ogwal, has assured parents of the school’s high level of preparedness for the forthcoming examinations.

Addressing the gathering, Ogwal said students at Wisdom High School have consistently performed well in national examinations, attributing their success not to examination malpractice, but to the hard work and commitment of teachers, students and parents who provide financial support to the school.

He also urged candidates and students at Wisdom High School to be God-fearing rather than simply fearing their teachers,emphasizing that success in both academics and life requires students to put God first, remain disciplined and embrace hard work.

He encouraged the candidates to remain focused, committed to their studies and confident as they prepare for the forthcoming examinations.

Wisdom High School Akalo has registered a total of 637 candidates, including 240 Senior Four and 397 Senior Six candidates preparing to sit for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.
