Traditinal Hurbalist in Pader and the Neighboring Districts Urged to Register With NDA for Recognition

Traditional herbalist in the Pader district and the neighboring districts have been advised to register with the national drug authority NDA for recognition of their services and normal operation.

This was communicated by the National Drug Authority senior inspector northern region Mr. Alfed Ayom Akali during a meeting with more the 100 traditional herbalists from Alikin Hotel in Pader town council.

Pader district health officer Dr, Benson Oyoo who was also present at the meeting challenged the traditional herbalist to give right prescription to their clients and always do referral in case the situation of their patients get worse.

Richard Otim a resident of  Paiula Sub-County one of the traditional healers who deals in broken born who also attended the training said he is willing to go to Gulu to have his sample tested.

He also added that before the training was conducted he was having a lot of fear of working with NDA because he toughs the work was not being supported by the government
