Unilever Uganda has introduced its latest product, Royco Cube Ku String, to the Eastern region with a vibrant activation at Bugwere Market in Mbale. The product is a convenient, hygienic, and affordable pack of 12 individually wrapped cubes, designed to meet the daily needs of modern Ugandan cooks.
According to Grace Nandawula, Marketing Manager at Unilever Uganda, the launch is not only about introducing a new format but also about recognising customers, listening to their voices, and delivering solutions that align with their everyday cooking needs.
“We came to Bugwere Market because the people of Mbale and the Eastern region have always been at the heart of Royco’s story,” Nandawula said. “The launch of Royco Cube Ku String here is not just about introducing a new format, it’s about recognising our customers, listening to their voices, and providing solutions that meet their everyday cooking needs. We are here on the ground to celebrate them and say ‘thank you’ for always choosing Royco.”
The Royco Cube Ku String is priced at UGX 1,200 and offers an ideal blend of affordability, visibility, and portion control, making it suitable for both households and small-scale traders. The product is fortified with iron and iodine, ensuring that every family can access and enjoy the same great taste.

The launch event featured live cooking demonstrations, product sampling, and interactions with local vendors and shoppers, creating an energetic and inclusive market-day experience.
