Ministry of Finance to fund construction of a theater at Amai community hospital

The Ministry of Finance has written to Chief Administrative Officer, CAO Amolatar on the confirming the development.

In a letter dated 20th February 2024 that Hot FM News desk saw a copy, it stated that Amolatar District will receive a disbursement of 700 million shillings for the construction of a storyed administration block and for the support of constructing a theatre.

In a letter dated 20 February 2024, the ministry acknowledges the receipt of the letter written by Dr Agnes Atim Apea, the woman MP Amolatar, requesting for the funds to construct storied administration block and theatre.

In her letter Hon. Dr Agnes Apea said that “Amai hospital is a 150 bed capacity and managed by Lango Diocese under Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau providing health care to poor community of Amolatar and the surrounding districts.”

She requested for 1 billion to help build a theater and equip, and general renovation to enable them serve the community.

The letter was copied to Minister of State of finance general duties, Ministry of State of finance planning and economic development and also to the bishop of Lango Diocese.

Amai community hospital is located in Amai village, Adonyimo parish at the shore of Lake Kwania, Amolatar district.

It is the only referral hospital treating about 50,000 patients.
