Centenary Rural Development Bank Ltd is proud to announce its contribution of relief items valued at 6.5 million Ugandan Shillings to the Supreme Mufti of the Greater Apac Muslim Administration. This initiative aims to assist vulnerable families in the local government districts of Kole, Oyam, Apac, and Kwania.

On March 26, 2025, essential items, including sugar, salt, maize flour, and soap, were distributed equally among 300 families at the Muslim Administration Headquarters in Aduku town council.

The generous donation is part of the bank’s broader commitment to supporting communities in need, particularly during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Rashid Musisi, Chief Manager of Corporate and SME at Centenary Bank, emphasised the bank’s dedication to community engagement. “As the largest and most widely distributed bank in the region, we are committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve. With 81 branches, 2,010 ATMs, and over 8,000 agents across Uganda, our extensive network ensures that banking services are easily accessible.”

Musisi also highlighted the bank’s innovative service, Cente Mobile, which allows customers to manage their banking needs directly from their mobile devices after opening an account. This convenient service facilitates payments for utilities such as water and electricity, as well as school fees, reducing the necessity for customers to visit physical bank locations.

In a continued effort to support the local Muslim community, Centenary Bank has reached out to the office of the Supreme Mufti in Kibuli, expressing its intention to assist in outreach efforts for 18 districts in Uganda throughout Ramadan, which lasts from March 1 to March 29, culminating in the vibrant celebration of Eid.
