Kagadi ADHO Paul Bahizi was killed by thugs, says security

Security has confirmed that the late Paul Bahizi Rutabagisha who was the assistant Kagadi district health officer was killed by thieves.

This was revealed last evening by the resident district commissioner for Kagadi, Kamukama Kaine Nicholas during his burial ceremony at his a central home in Nyamigisa village, Burora Sub County Kagadi district.

Paul Bahizi’s Body was on Saturday morning found dumped opposite Gadaffi Mosque in Fort portal Tourism city.

Addressing thousands of mourners, RDC Kamukama said that Bahizi was murdered by thieves in one of the dark spots within Fort portal city.

Kamukama says the joint security of Kagadi and Fort portal have so far arrested three prime suspects as only one who is their leader is still on the run.

The Late Bahizi who holds a master’s degree in Public Health by the time of his death had served in various capacities including Senior Health Inspector Kyejojo District, Assistant DHO Ibanda District and later in 2019 he joined Kagadi district Local Government serving in the same position.

Late Bahizi who died at the age of 53 survived with 15 children and a wife.

Bahizi’s death is the third known murder case to be registered in Fort Portal City in less than a week; the first case having been that of Mountains of Moon University student, Sarah Ahaisibwe, 23, that was reported on Monday.

Ahaisibwe had been working as an agent banker at her aunt’s shop identified as Kellen Kajubi.

Another third un identified man was also found dead and his body dumped next to Kabarole main mosque in Mpanga village in Fort Portal City in Kabarole District.
