Kagadi Lc1, 2 Leaders receive Bicycles from Govt

Kagadi district local council one and two chairpersons have received bicycles from government of Uganda to facilitate their movement while fulfilling their mandate.
The chairpersons were handed over the bicycles last evening at Kagadi district headquarters in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district.
While presiding over the bicycle handing over ceremony, the Ugandan Cabinet state Minister for works and transport, Fred Byamukama asked the local leaders to indulge in other income generating activities other than spending most of their time in politicking
He also tasked Kagadi residents to properly utilize their land by applying a one acre Model farming technique as they plant high Value crops like Coffee and Fruits which can generate high income volumes and eventually poverty eradication out of their families.

The Kagadi District Lc5 chairperson Ndibwami B Yosia thanked Minister Fred Byamukama, the Uganda’s Prime Minister RT Hon. Robinah Nabanja and the President of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for prioritizing Kagadi district in benefiting from government programs.
Chairman Ndibwami asked the chairpersons to take care and maintain the bicycles.
Speaking on behalf of Lc1 and Lc2 Chairpersons, Charles Kakatira the Kagadi town council Central Lc1 Chairperson challenged government to rethink of giving Lc1 chairpersons motorcycles since most of them are aged and have no physical fitness and man power to ride the bicycles.
Kakatira also demanded for the increment of the Lc1 chairperson’s monthly allowance from 10,000 shillings to a higher amount.
