A Suspected Motorcycle thief survive lynching in Kagadi

A man identified as Pius Mbabazi accused of stealing a motorcycle has survived being lynched by an angry mob in Kasonga village Pachwa Sub County in Kagadi district.

The incident happened last evening(Monday)

Pius Mbabazi, a resident of Kazizi village in Kabamba Sub County, Kagadi district is accused of stealing from the same sub county.

According to the Kasonga Lc1 chairperson Justus Muhangi, a group of angry people followed Mbabazi from Kabamba Sub County till they caught and stabbed him in Pachwa Sub County.

However, our reporter has discovered that Pius Mbabazi is not a thief.

Sylvester Mugisa, the Lc1 chairperson for Kazizi village in Kabamba Sub County says Mbabazi had misunderstandings with other colleagues during a party on Saturday in Kabamba Sub County.

He says Mbabazi was on the wanted list for assaulting others.

Kalimunda Ephrahim, the father to the stabbed Pius Mbabazi says his Son has no bad record of stealing.

By press time, Kalimunda was taking his son to the hospital.
