Kagadi Man Kills Colleague over UGX 2000 Debt

Police in Kicucura sub-county, Kagadi district, are actively searching for a man who allegedly murdered his brother over a 2000 Shilling debt.

The shocking incident happened yesterday Monday in the same area.

The victim, identified as Frank Asiimwe, and the suspect, John Twesige, were both residents of Kicucura village in Kicucura Sub County, Kagadi district.

Twesige is accused of initiating a physical altercation with his brother Asiimwe after he purportedly failed to repay a 2000 Shilling debt.

The confrontation escalated, leading Twesige to fatally assault his brother near their residence.

According to Bonny Aliganyira, the chairperson of Kicucura village, Twesige has fled and is currently escaping authorities.

Bonny also noted that Twesige has a history of problematic behavior in the community.

Additionally, family members suspect Twesige of committing the murder, revealing their suspicions that the incident occurred the previous night.

The police continue their efforts to locate and apprehend the suspect, as the community grapples with the tragic consequences of a dispute over a relatively small debt.
