Parents Protesting

The head teacher of Kyambara Primary School in Kikuube district, Robert Kagoro, faced an unexpected turn of events when parents locked him out of his office on the first day of the academic year, protesting his poor performance which they attributed to his prolonged term at the school.

Deogratias Byakagaba, the Kikuube District Education Officer (DEO), announced that Kagoro has been advised to step down pending further administrative action.

In his place, the deputy head teacher, Nelson Agaba, will assume the role while the process of appointing a new head teacher commences.

The appointment of the new head teacher is expected to be finalized within the week.

Byakagaba acknowledged the concerns raised about the consistent poor performance of students at the school, suggesting that these allegations have merit.

Kagoro, who had served as head teacher for seven years at Kyambara Primary School and was only five months away from his approved early retirement scheduled for July of this year, now faces the consequences of his apparent ineffective leadership.
