Minister Byabakama urges Hoima City drivers to embrace savings culture for sustained income

The Uganda’s Minister of State for Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, has emphasized the importance of a savings culture among Tax and Bus Park drivers in Hoima City to ensure the stability of their income.
Speaking yesterday in a written statement delivered to the management of the Hoima City Tax and Bus Park saving and credit society, Byamukama commended their efforts while fulfilling his pledge of 10 million Ugandan Shillings.
Byamukama underscored the significance of the newly initiated SACCO by Tax and Bus Park drivers, stating that if managed effectively, it could serve as a vital driver of development for its members.
Mugisa Ham, the chairperson of Hoima Tax and Bus Park Management, expressed gratitude to Minister Fred Byamukama for delivering on his promise of financial support.
Mugisa highlighted the cooperative’s focus on savings, credit, and the development of tour and travel projects, aiming to generate sustainable income for its members.
