As Uganda prepares for the 2026 general elections, the newly registered People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) party is quickly gaining ground, with over 6,000 members already signed up nationwide.
Speaking to journalists at her residence in Gulu on Thursday, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, Gulu City Woman MP and a member of the PFF executive, said the party is ready to face the political landscape with confidence. “We are committed to offering an alternative voice and mobilizing for real change,” she said.
The PFF was officially registered on June 5, 2025, and is now focused on building support across the country.
Lakot Presline Otoyi, a Woman MP aspirant for Omoro District, called on voters to embrace the new party, which she said represents fresh leadership. She also revealed plans to launch the party officially in Omoro in the coming weeks.
Silver Daniel Olweny, aspiring MP for Tochi County, emphasized the party’s grassroots strategy, saying the PFF is prioritizing local engagement and community-focused policies.
The party’s national launch is scheduled for July 8 in Kampala.
