As Uganda prepares for the 2026 general elections, the newly registered People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) party is rapidly gaining momentum, with over 6,000 members already registered nationwide.
Speaking to journalists at her residence in Gulu on Thursday, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, Gulu City Woman MP and a member of the PFF executive, stated that the party is ready to face the political landscape with confidence. “We are committed to offering an alternative voice and mobilising for real change,” she said.
The PFF was officially registered on 5 June 2025 and is now focused on building support across the country.
Lakot Presline Otoyi, a Woman MP aspirant for Omoro District, urged voters to embrace the new party, which she described as a symbol of fresh leadership. She also announced plans to officially launch the party in Omoro in the coming weeks.
Silver Daniel Olweny, aspiring MP for Tochi County, emphasised the party’s grassroots strategy, stating that the PFF is prioritising local engagement and community-focused policies.
The party’s national launch is scheduled to take place on 8 July in Kampala.
