Kamuli LCV chairperson Maxwell Kuwembula dies in car accident

The Kamuli district LCV chairperson, Maxwell Mugudde Charles Kuwembula, has died in a fatal road accident at Nagalama in Mukono district. He was reportedly enroute to Kampala to pick nomination forms when the accident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, he was traveling in a Toyota Hilux belonging to the Ministry of Health, which collided with a stationary Sino truck in Nagalama town.

By the time of filing this report, the body had been taken to Nagalama Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Kuwembula assumed office in 2021, serving his first term as district chairperson. It is unfortunate to note that just last month, he had traveled to Germany for a suspected throat cancer surgery.
