Boda-boda Cyclist arrested in Apac for assaulting a 17 year old girl

Apac Police has in their custody a bodaboda rider while others still at large over assaulting a 17 year old girl this week on Thursday in Matimi-Amor cell, Arocha Division, Apac municipality.

The North Kyoga police spokesperson, SP Patrict Jimmy Okema confirmed the incident and identified the victim as Marion Adoch while the suspect under custody has been recognized as Mr Elong Andrew,a boda boda rider who presented himself to police after the incident.

 It’s alleged that on Thursday at around 9 pm, Mr. Elong Andrew, Ecat Ejedio, Abic Son of Okello and Agwa Susan assaulted Adoch Marion 17 yrs a resident of Matimi-Amor cell, Arocha division, Apac Municipality on suspicion that she had stolen bananas of one Ebong Tom of the same village.

According to Okema, Police got Information  that Adoch had passed on promting a team of detectives to visit the scene however she was found alive and later rushed to the Apac Hospital word on live support where she’s still being monitored by the medical team.

Police therefore appealed to members of the public to desist from act of taking law into their hands but rather apprehend and handover suspected criminals to the police.

Mr. Okema asked those on the run not to waste time instead handover themselves to police for inquiries and countering charges of attempted murder noting that police has already acquired all their details.
