The School authority of Apac Seed Secondary in Atar, Apac Sub county, Apac District has warned that the School will purely be a no zone for homosexuality and lesbianism despite its quite rampant penetration in some learning institutions in the country

The headteacher of the School Mr. James Akeba made the robust pronouncement during the Student leaders handover and takeover observance held at the school ground yesterday Friday 17th. Feb. 2023.

Akeba said that the solid built up on faith and trust in God which both the students and Staff has constructed and still continues to shape, he is very hopeful that God will endlessly be in charge of the School and no homosexuality or lesbianism will infiltrate their environment

“With the rampant cases of same sex association being practiced in some parts of the country, my School will always observe humanity first and extend the frontier even to the community that borders the school and above all God will be first in all our actions,” Akeba said.

He however hailed the pioneer student leadership for the outstanding kind of direction they displayed during their tenure and also beseeched the incoming leaders to display the same through being sensible at all times for the advancement of the school.

Rev Patrick Ogwal the parish priest of Atar who was the main celebrant in the function asked the students to always abstain from sinful behaviors and continuously request God for supervision in all aspects, he said same sex relationship is strongly punishable by God quoting Leviticus 18:22.

Mr Ivan Tonny Ekak the Apac district UNSA coordinator who was the chief guest in the event asked the student leaders to refrain from causing a disfavor to the school insinuating that leaders are supposed to guide the entire area of their leadership on the rightful path, he however intreated them to lead by example and avoid things that may spoil the schools reputation and image

Ugandan president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently congratulated religious leaders for condemning the ‘abnormal’ practice of homosexuality and welcomed their move to break away from the Europeans

Apac Seed is a mix day and boarding secondary school which started functioning in Feb 2020 with 520 students and now the student’s population has grown to over 1000 according to the headteacher Mr. James Akeba.
