Otuke Awards Contract of UGX 900 M for Construction of Alango Health Center II

The Ministry of Health together with Otuke District Local Government has awarded a contract of Nine Hundred Million and Thirteen Shillings to WWL Construction Company Limited to construct Alango Health Center II

Francis Abola, the Otuke District LC V chairperson said the total contract cost under water and medical logistics is one billion shillings and will take a period of eight month.

He noted that, the construction work will include; a maternity ward, placenta pit, a medical waste pit as well as a four door ventilated improved pit toilet.

Abola warned the contractor against shoddy work and unnecessary delays saying they will not hesitate to cancel the contract should there be any abuse.

He cited Ating health center, whose construction period has taken more than three years yet only at roofing level, something he said the district will not condone such abuse and laxity.

The chairman thanked the community of Alango for accepting to donate their land for the noble course.
