Oyam Boy Commits Suicide After Found In Secret Love With Sister-in-Law

A 17 year old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging a few hours after he was caught engaged in a secret love affair with his sister-in-law.

The incident has since 1st February 2023 left the residents of Atege village in Angom parish, Iceme Sub county, Oyam district in shock and grief after the body of Dan Aporo was in the evening found hanging dead on a rope.

Speaking to our news desk, Geoffrey Oken, the LC 1 Chairperson of Atege village confirmed the incident saying, Aporo and the sister-in-law whose love affair was unknown to many people, went together to collect some cassava from a nearby garden and from there decided to engage in sexual activity where they were caught red-handed by his mother.

The Chairman said after they were caught red-handed,the mother made an alarm but the duo ran in different directions before the villagers responded to the alarm. He sadly noted that, after an hour, a younger brother to Aporo went to the bush bird- hunting, only to come across Aporo hanging dead on a big tree.

Oken said they reported the matter to the Police in Iceme who reported to the scene of crime the following morning.
