The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs, who is also the Woman Member of Parliament for Kamuli District, Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, brought smiles to patients across various health centres in Kamuli District by distributing essential items to each of them.

According to Owek Hellen Namutamba, Minister for Tourism and Heritage in the Busoga Kingdom, who was sent by Rt Hon Kadaga to distribute food and other essentials, the initiative aimed to bring joy to those who cannot afford basic necessities as they begin the New Year. The items distributed included posho, rice, soap, and lunch.

Kadaga observed that many individuals struggle to afford even a single meal while in hospital. During the visit, she encouraged them to support the NRM government and to vote for President Yoweri K. Museveni and all party flag bearers in the upcoming elections.
