NRM registrars in Mbale ask for extension of register update exercise

The National Resistance Movement Party registrars who are currently conducting the update and registration of party members in Mbale City, have asked the party leadership to add them more time to conduct the exercise. 

The initial plan was for the program to be conducted from the 13th to 17th of this month after its launch by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on March 1. 

The registrar of Lumumba Cell, Nabweya Parish in Northern City Division Mr Shakuruh Mafabi, says they have decided to embark on moving from door to door in order to register more people.

He notes that efforts to beat the deadline have been futile as many people are yet to be registered.

The NRM Women’s League Chairperson Lydia Wanyoto Mutende notes that the decision to extend the registration exercise will be handled by the party top leadership presided over by the National chairperson H.E President Museveni.
