Pader District Registers 3 Deaths Due to Accidents in 2023

The traffic police department in Pader district as 8th January 2023 reported that they have so far registered 3 deaths in four accidents that have occurred in the last week into the new year 2023 alone.
SP. Robert Onzima, the officer in charge of traffic stated that death tolls in accidents have reached 3 people including a minor who just passed on in the Real bus accident that took place along Agago – Pader highway. Onzima adds that 19 other serious accidents were registered during the one-week period only.
He further attributes the causes of the accidents to human errors which include; the carelessness of the drivers such as drink-driving, over speeding, among others.
According to Onzima, accidents have become an epidemic in the country which has caused people to doubt whether they may reach their destination while traveling.

Last year, the Pader district traffic police department has reported that the district recorded 13 cases of death from the period of January to December of the year 2022 with 43 serious accidents involving 70 people injured reported.
