BEST PLE PERFORMERS IN AGAGO WEST AWARDED

All the 7 primary school leavers who passed in first grade in Agago West constituency Agago District in 2023 PLE Exams have been awarded with mattresses and school metallic boxes.

The prizes were procured and distributed by Mr. Onyiny James Penywii, a director in the office of the IGG who also doubles as director radio 92.4 Luo Fm, at a function held at Wanglobo Primary School.

Director James told our reporter that the central purpose of awarding the best performers in the area is to motivate children for education and struggle for better performance.

He revealed that all those awarded passed in first grade and this is not the first time for such activities.

The awards were specifically for those that wrote their exams from schools within the Agago West constituency and passed in grade one.

Speaking at the function, Ms Floris Mukasa, the Wanglobo Primary School Headteacher, applauded Director James for being a good hearted person and awarding the children promising a much better performance for 2024 Primary Leaving Exams (PLE) in her school.

She however described motivation of learners as a great issue not only for well wishers but also teachers and parents.

The school was the best in Agago west constituency with 4 in division one and also the best performing government school in the entire Agago.

Wokorach Gabriel, one of the beneficiaries, said that the awards will boost his study morale in secondary school level.

Oweka John Basify, the area councilor five for Geregere Sub County in the Agago district Local government, said that he was impressed to see 4 pupils from his sub county receiving mattresses and metallic boxes.

He however appeals to other political leaders and well wishers to come up in support for education.
