Delayed Garbage Collection Breeds Open Dumping of Rubbish Along Pajule Town Council Streets

Delayed collection of garbage for over a week breeds open dumping of wastes along streets in Pajule Town Council, Pader angering a section of the business community in the town area.

One of the business men who deals in motorcycle repair off Market Street but preferred anonymity told our reporter that he paid 35,000 shillings which includes garbage maintenance. However, he said he is disappointed that he is not getting value for his money.

When contacted, Mr. Oyet Patrick, the Pajule Business Community Chairperson confirmed the problem to our reporter but said they have already contacted the relevant authority to address the issue.

The acting health inspector Pajule Town Council acknowledged the problem but blamed it on the absence of funds and the accountant who had gone for a meeting called by the ministry in Kampala.

She however added that the garbage by mid-day tomorrow, the garbage will be no more.
