Primary school teacher wins inaugural Acholi Heritage Bicycle Race

A 32 years old primary school teacher in Pader Town Council has emerged the winner of the inaugural MTN sponsored Ker Kwaro  Acholi Heritage Bicycle Race.

Ms. Akidi Margret, a teacher of Goodwill Nursery and Primary School emerged the winner in the female category after clocking 1:16:56Sec to win 500,000shillings.

According to Margret, this is not the first time she has competed and is optimistic that she will win the regional race.

Meanwhile in the male category, Eling Emanuel, a resident of Lagwai Zone B emerged the winner after clocking 1:03:39Secs.

Ojok Denis Okello who was third after suffering mechanical breakdown said the race was done urged and others to support the winners who will represent Pader in the regional race that will take place in Gulu City on the 12/02/2023.

The MTN sponsored event is organized by Ker Kwaro Acholi in a bid to end early marriages and pregnancy among young girls in Acholi sub region.
